Uroczyste OtwarcieTRAKO Opening Ceremony and debate: Creating a Regulatory Framework for the Sustainable Development of Transport in the EU

The first debate of the 12th TRAKO International Railway Fair, which will be preceded by the opening ceremony, will be held on 26 September, 11:00-12:30. Creating a Regulatory Framework for the Sustainable Development of Transport in the EU is the title of the debate, with its attendees including Andrzej Adamczyk – Poland’s Minister of Infrastructure and Construction, Libor Lochman – Executive Director of CER, Krzysztof Mamiński – PKP SA President of the Management Board, Ignacy Góra – President of the Office of Rail Transport (UTK), Kosma Złotowicz – EU MP, member of the Committee on Transport and Tourism (TRAN), along with railway transport experts.

The following subjects will be addressed during the debate:
  • The idea of sustainable transport in Europe – if or to what degree it is being implemented;
  • The process of EU railway market regulation, the legal environment for railway companies to operate;
  • Challenges facing countries and railways due to an increased competitiveness of railways, for example in innovation and intermodal collaboration;
  • Railway investments – the significance of EU funding.
