Deputy PM Janusz Piechociński honours the MTG SA Gdańsk International Fair Co.

Building Poland’s brand abroad, creativity and innovation are important components of an economy’s growth strategy. In recognition of special achievements in this area, Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister Janusz Piechociński has acknowledged the companies which carry out especially significant projects in this respect. The MTG SA Gdańsk International Fair Co. was among the honourees recognised for their contribution to the development of Poland’s economy in the rail sector. On Wednesday, 8 October 2014, the Deputy PM Janusz Piechociński presented a congratulatory letter to the MTG SA President of the Board Andrzej Kasprzak.

MTG SA has been the organiser of TRAKO for nearly two decades. Owing to its many years of active work with the rail industry, the TRAKO International Railway Fair has become Europe’s second exhibition event in terms of size and importance.

MTG SA also organises the FRACHT Intermodal Transport Forum, an event addressed to all the links in Poland’s logistics chain. Its main objective is to integrate businesses and organisations in effective work for the benefit of the entire transport sector.

As a member of the IGKM Chamber of Commerce for City Transport, MTG SA supports the promotion of mass public transport and develops the Chamber’s international relationships through its long-standing presence at many European events.

The award ceremony, with the Deputy PM presenting the honourable mentions to celebrate 25 years of free Poland and its 10 years in the EU, accompanied the 4th Railway Congress held on 9 October 2014 in Łódź, Poland.
